In most chains we audit, profiles were created by whoever was around at the time: a branch manager, a former employee, an old agency. When that person leaves, access often goes with them.
- Every branch profile owned by one head-office Google account, grouped together. Nobody else is an owner.
- Branch managers added as managers, so they can reply and post but can't remove the profile or other users.
- Access reviewed every quarter, and removed the day someone leaves.
- Agencies, including us, are added as managers. Ownership stays with you.
- With 10 or more locations, you can apply for bulk verification. Google requires every location to be in the account, excludes service-area businesses, and doesn't allow it from an agency account holding several businesses. Another reason the profiles should sit in your own account.
