Local marketing for doctors, clinics and hospitals

SEO for doctors, clinics and hospitals

In short: we make your clinic or hospital website rank for the searches patients make before they book, such as a treatment plus your city. That means fixing technical SEO, adding schema markup, making the site fast on mobile, writing a proper page for each treatment and department, and getting your practice listed on trusted sites. Every medical page is reviewed by the doctor before it goes live.

What our audits find

What we usually find on a doctor's website.

Most clinic and hospital websites fail on the basics long before content or links come into it. This is what a typical first audit looks like.

What we checkWhat we usually findWhy it matters
Speed on mobilePages take several seconds to load on mobile data because of sliders and large photosPatients leave, and Google uses speed as a ranking signal
Schema markupNone at allGoogle and AI assistants can't read who you are, where you are or when you're open
Page titlesEvery page titled “Home” or just the clinic nameThe title is the main clue Google uses to match a page to a search
Treatment pagesAll treatments listed on one pageOne page can't rank for ten different treatment searches
Doctor credentialsNo qualifications, registration number or author nameHealth pages are judged strictly on who is behind them

SEO and your Google profile

Two different searches, one clinic.

Your Google Business Profile wins the "near me" searches: a patient who needs a dentist today and wants the closest good one. That's the Maps pack.

Your website wins the searches that come earlier: "root canal or extraction", "hair fall treatment cost", "physiotherapy for frozen shoulder". These patients are still deciding. The clinic whose page answers their question is usually the one they call later.

These are also the pages AI assistants read. Patients now ask full questions, often in Hinglish, like "mujhe hair fall ho raha hai, kaun sa doctor achha hai?". When someone asks ChatGPT or Google's AI Mode which clinic to visit, the answer is built from websites that answer such questions clearly and are mentioned on other trusted sites.

The AI blog trap

Why four AI blogs a month don't rank.

This is the most common pattern we see on doctors' websites. The doctor, or a cheap agency promising "four blogs a month", publishes articles written entirely by AI. "10 benefits of homeopathy." "Tips for healthy teeth." The same information that already sits on thousands of other sites.

Google's ranking systems now reward information gain: something a page adds that other pages don't. A generic AI article adds nothing, so it doesn't rank, and a site full of them can drag down the pages that are good.

We write fewer articles, and each one carries something only your clinic can say: what patients in your city actually ask, how you approach a treatment, what recovery really looks like in your practice. AI can help draft; the substance comes from you, and the doctor checks every medical detail.

Health pages are judged harder

How we write content Google trusts.

Google holds pages about health to a higher standard than most topics, because wrong information can hurt someone. A page needs a real author, a qualified reviewer and claims that hold up.

  • Every article shows who wrote it and which doctor reviewed it.
  • Facts are checked, and sources are linked where it helps the reader.
  • No cure claims, no guaranteed results, no misleading before-and-after photos.
  • Each page answers the questions a patient asks next, so they don't need to go back to Google.
Hospital websites

SEO for a hospital is a bigger job, so we plan it department-wise.

A hospital website has a different problem from a clinic website. A clinic has one or two doctors and a few treatments. A hospital has ten or twenty departments, many doctors and hundreds of treatments, and usually all of it is squeezed into a few pages. So when somebody searches "knee replacement hospital in Lucknow" or "maternity hospital near me", the hospital's site does not show up at all, even though the hospital does these every day.

For hospitals we build a separate page for every department, a profile page for every consultant with their qualifications and registration, and pages for the main procedures like knee replacement, cataract surgery, normal delivery or angioplasty. Then these pages are linked with each other properly, so Google understands which doctor does what, and in which department.

We also take care of things that are special to hospitals: doctor schema for each consultant, correct OPD and emergency timings, and the same hospital name, address and phone number on the website, on Google and on every directory.

Questions

SEO questions from doctors.

What is SEO for doctors?

It's the work that makes your clinic website appear when patients search for your treatments and your area, such as "root canal treatment in Bareilly" or "skin specialist near Civil Lines". It covers the technical set-up of the site, the content on each page, schema, speed and mentions of your clinic on other trusted websites.

Do you do SEO for hospitals and multi-specialty centres?

Yes. For a hospital we plan the work department by department, starting with the departments that bring the most patients or have the most empty OPD slots. The price depends on how many departments and doctors need pages, so we quote it after the free audit.

Should I start with SEO or Google Business Profile?

Start with your Google Business Profile. It's faster and brings calls from "near me" searches. SEO builds on it: it wins the treatment and research searches, like "implant cost" or "is laser hair removal safe", that the Maps listing doesn't cover.

How long does SEO take for a clinic website?

Technical fixes show up in weeks. Rankings for competitive treatment searches usually take three to six months, and longer in large cities. We show you where each target page ranks every month, so you can see it moving.

Can you guarantee first page on Google?

No. Nobody controls Google's rankings, and agencies that promise it usually cut corners that get sites penalised later. We commit to the work and report the results honestly.

What is schema markup, and does my clinic need it?

Schema is code that tells search engines facts about your page: that it's a medical clinic, who the doctor is, the address, timings and answers to common questions. It helps Google show richer results and helps AI assistants describe your clinic correctly. Almost no clinic sites we audit have it.

Who writes the medical content?

We write it, and the doctor reviews it before it goes live. Each page shows who wrote it and who reviewed it. We don't publish cure claims or anything the doctor hasn't approved.

My agency posts four blogs a month. Why isn't my site ranking?

Usually because the blogs are written entirely by AI and repeat what every other site says. Google rewards pages that add something new, and generic articles don't. A few well-researched pages built on your own experience will do more than dozens of filler posts.

How much does SEO cost?

It depends on your city, specialty, number of treatments and how much content your site already has. You get a fixed monthly quote after the free audit.
