Local marketing for doctors, clinics and hospitals

Google Ads for doctors, clinics and hospitals

In short: we run Google Search and Maps ads for clinics and hospitals, aimed at patients who are already searching for a treatment near you. Campaigns are split by treatment or department, locations are set tightly around your practice, wasteful searches are blocked, and calls are tracked so you know what each patient enquiry costs. The account stays in your name. Our fee is 20% of the ad spend we manage.

Fee: 20% of monthly ad spend, plus GST. Budget paid directly to Google. See pricing

Where budgets leak

Why most clinic Google Ads cost more than they should.

Google Ads is built for advertisers who know every setting. Its defaults are made to spend, not to save. These are the leaks we find in almost every clinic and hospital account we open.

The Promote button

Ads started from inside your Google profile run as an automated campaign. It's easy to start and hard to see where the money went.

Wrong location setting

The default setting also shows ads to people who are only interested in your city, not in it. A Bareilly clinic can end up paying for clicks from Delhi.

Search partners and Display left on

Search campaigns come with these ticked. Your budget quietly moves to other websites and apps where patients aren't searching for a doctor.

No negative keywords

Without them, you pay for searches like “dentist jobs”, “BDS course fees” or “free treatment”.

Ads pointing to the homepage

A patient searching for implants lands on a page about everything. A treatment page with prices and a call button converts far better.

No call tracking

Most clinic enquiries are phone calls. If calls aren't tracked, the account optimises for the wrong thing.

Google or Meta

Which one your clinic needs, and when.

Most clinics we see run Meta ads and Google's profile ads. That's the right pair. They just do different jobs.

How we set it up

A Google Ads account built for a clinic.

  • Account in your name

Created and owned by you, with manager access for us.

  • Campaigns by treatment

Separate budgets for implants, root canal or laser, so the money follows what brings patients.

  • Precise location

Only people in or near your area, with the setting that excludes people just “interested” in it.

  • Keywords with intent

Phrase and exact match for searches like “implant cost” or “dentist near me”, plus a long negative list.

  • Maps and call ads

Your Google profile linked, so ads show on Maps with directions and a call button.

  • Landing pages that convert

Each ad goes to a treatment page with fees, timings and a call button.

  • Call and enquiry tracking

Calls, WhatsApp clicks and forms counted as results, so bidding improves over time.

  • Weekly checks and monthly report

Search terms reviewed, budgets moved, and a plain report of cost per patient enquiry.

For hospitals

Hospital ads: spend on departments, not on the hospital name.

When a hospital runs Google Ads, the most common mistake is one campaign with the hospital name and some general words like "multispeciality hospital near me". It brings clicks, but most of these people are not yet sure what they need, and the daily budget finishes on them before lunch.

We split hospital campaigns by department and by procedure: knee replacement, cataract surgery, delivery packages, dialysis, full body check-ups. Each one gets its own budget and its own landing page. So you can see clearly which department is getting patients from ads and which one is only spending money. If one department's OPD is already full, we reduce its budget and move that money to the department that needs patients.

Calls are also tracked department-wise. In a hospital every call lands at a common reception, and without tracking nobody knows which ad brought it.

The rules

Healthcare ads on Google.

Google treats healthcare as a sensitive category. Some prescription medicines and unproven treatments can't be advertised, and ads can't be targeted at people based on a health condition, so remarketing lists built from health pages aren't allowed.

India's medical advertising rules apply on top. The ad text stays factual: the clinic, the treatment, timings, fees and the doctor's qualifications. No guaranteed results, no “best doctor in the city”, and no cure claims.

Questions

Google Ads questions from doctors.

Are Google Ads worth it for a clinic?

For treatments patients actively search for, usually yes. Someone typing "dental implant cost near me" is ready to book, which is different from someone scrolling Instagram. They work best for high-value or urgent treatments, where one new patient covers the month's spend.

Do you run Google Ads for hospitals?

Yes. For hospitals we set up a separate campaign for each department or main procedure, with its own budget and call tracking, so the money goes where you actually need patients. The fee stays the same, 20% of the ad spend we manage.

What's the difference between GMB ads and Google Ads?

The Promote or ads option inside your Google Business Profile creates an automated campaign with very few settings you can control. A proper Google Ads account lets you choose the keywords, the exact area, the times and the budget per treatment, and block searches you don't want to pay for. Both can show your clinic on Maps.

How much does a patient enquiry from Google Ads cost?

It depends on the treatment and how many clinics are bidding in your area. Where competition isn't heavy, we typically see enquiries around ₹250, similar to Meta. Implants, IVF and cosmetic treatments in big cities cost more per click, but each patient is worth more too.

How much budget do I need for Google Ads?

It depends on the treatment and your city. A cost per click for dental implants in a metro is very different from physiotherapy in a smaller city. We look at real keyword prices for your area during the free audit and suggest a starting budget, paid by you directly to Google.

Will running ads improve my Google Maps ranking?

No. Ads and your normal Maps ranking are separate. Ads can put you on top while they run; your profile, reviews and website decide where you appear when they stop. That's why we treat ads as a boost, not a replacement.

Can clinics in India advertise on Google?

Yes, within Google's healthcare policy and India's medical advertising rules. Some prescription medicines and unproven treatments are restricted, and health conditions can't be used to target ads at individuals. We keep ads to your clinic, treatments, timings and fees.

How soon will I get calls?

Search ads can bring calls within days of going live. The first two to four weeks are for learning which keywords and ads bring real patients, so costs usually come down after that.

Who owns the Google Ads account?

You do. The account is created in your name and we get manager access. If you stop working with us, the account, its history and its data stay with you.

What does Google Ads management cost?

Our fee is 20% of the monthly ad spend we manage, plus GST. The budget itself is paid directly to Google from your account.
