Local marketing for doctors, clinics and hospitals

Marketing for individual doctors and consultants

In short: when patients search your name, they should find you: where you consult, when, and what kind of doctor you are. We set up your own Google profile, run Instagram with short videos you record on your phone, build a personal website and make your details match on every platform. Most doctors start at ₹6,999 a month.

Who this is for

Doctors whose name is the brand.

Consultants at several clinics

You see patients at two or three places. Patients follow you, not the clinic, but online they only find the clinics.

Doctors at hospitals

Your reputation sits inside the hospital's website and profile. If you move, it stays behind.

Solo practitioners

You are the clinic. Every review, video and post is about you, and so is every patient's decision.

The problem

When patients search your name, what do they find?

Try it. For most doctors the answer is a Practo listing, a hospital page, an old Justdial entry and maybe someone else with the same name. Nothing you control, and nothing that shows how you work.

No profile of your own

Only the clinic or hospital shows on Google Maps. Patients who want you specifically can't find where and when you sit.

Scattered, outdated details

Different timings and numbers on every platform, some from clinics you left years ago.

No voice

No videos, no articles, nothing that shows how you think or explain. Patients choose the doctor they feel they know.

Your Google profile

What Google allows depends on where you practise.

Google has specific rules for doctors, and most of the mistakes we fix come from not knowing them. Here's how they apply to the situations we see most.

Your situationWhat Google allowsWhat we set up
You're the only doctor at your own clinicOne profile for the practice. The name can be the clinic, your name, or both (for example, “Smile Dental: Dr Neha Rao”), as long as it matches how the clinic presents itself. One complete profile, with you as its face: your photo, qualifications and videos.
You consult at a hospital or a clinic with several doctorsThe hospital keeps its own profile. You can have a separate practitioner profile with your name only, if patients can reach you there during the hours shown.Your practitioner profile, with your OPD days, linked to your own web page.
You're a visiting consultant at two or three clinicsNo separate profile for each specialisation. Each clinic's profile and website can mention you.Your profile where you're available most, and your days at every clinic listed on your website and theirs.
You're moving to a new clinicUpdate the address on your existing practitioner profile. Don't create a new one.Address, hours and photos updated, and your old Practo and Justdial listings corrected so patients don't go to the old place.

Why video matters

Doctors who explain, get chosen.

We regularly see doctors who share their experience on Instagram, or give simple advice about a condition, become known faster than colleagues with twice their experience. Patients arrive already trusting them, and consultations are shorter because the basics are already understood.

Three to four reels a week is enough. Each should answer something patients genuinely worry about, calmly and clearly. Comedy reels bring followers; explanations bring patients.

You record on your phone in a few minutes. We plan the topics and post them; editing is available as an add-on at ₹800 per minute of finished video.

Never run out of topics

Six kinds of video that bring patients.

Five topics of each kind gives you 30 videos, about two months of posting at three to four a week.

Questions you answer every day

Note down what patients ask in one week of OPD. “Is root canal painful?” or “Should I use ice or heat?” Each question is a video.

Common beliefs in your field

“Braces are only for children.” “Oily skin doesn't need moisturiser.” “Back pain means complete rest.” Correcting these gets shared.

What happens during a treatment

Walk through a root canal, a chemical peel or a first physio session, step by step. Fear of the unknown stops more patients than cost does.

When not to wait

Signs that need a doctor soon: toothache with swelling, a mole that changes shape, back pain with numbness in the leg. These build trust quickly.

Time and cost, honestly

How many sittings, how long recovery takes, why fees vary between clinics. Patients search for this before they call, and few doctors answer it.

Aftercare

What to eat after an extraction, how to apply a prescribed cream, home exercises. Your existing patients forward these to family.

Stay within the rules

What a doctor can and can't post.

Doctors in India are bound by the Medical Council's 2002 code of ethics, which remains in force (the NMC's 2023 regulations were put on hold). It restricts doctors from promoting themselves to win patients. Health education is on the right side of that line; self-praise is not.

Your part

About 30 minutes of your week.

A personal brand fails when it depends on the doctor finding free time. This is the routine we set up, so your part stays small and fixed.

1
Monday, 15 minutes

Record

Three or four clips on your phone from the topic list we send. One take each is fine.

2
Through the week

We edit and post

Captions, thumbnails and posting when your followers are online. Editing is an add-on at ₹800 per minute.

3
Any day, 5 minutes

Answer what only you can

We flag the comments and messages that need a doctor's answer. We handle the rest.

4
Once a week, 10 minutes

Send one question

Something a patient asked you this week. It becomes next week's video.

Referrals

Other doctors check you online too.

For specialists, many patients arrive through a general physician, a colleague or the hospitals where you consult. Before referring, those doctors look you up as well, just in different places.

A referring doctor looks at your LinkedIn profile: training, hospital attachments, conference talks and papers. They also want a clear page on your website listing the conditions you take referrals for, with a direct number or WhatsApp for doctors.

Short case discussions, with every patient detail removed, show colleagues how you think. We set up and update the profiles; you write or dictate the cases.

Questions

Questions from individual doctors.

I consult at a hospital. Can I have my own Google profile?

Yes. Google allows a separate profile for an individual practitioner who sees patients, alongside the hospital's own profile. It should carry your name only, and you need to be available to patients there during the hours shown. If you're the only doctor at your own clinic, Google prefers one profile for the practice, which can include your name.

I'm moving to a different clinic. What happens to my Google reviews?

Reviews stay with the profile they were left on. If it's your own practitioner profile, update the address and timings and the reviews stay with you. If patients reviewed the clinic's profile, those reviews stay with the clinic. That's the strongest reason to have a profile in your own name.

Can I have separate Google profiles for each specialty I practise?

No. Google's guidelines say a practitioner shouldn't have several profiles to cover different specialisations. One profile, with each specialty and treatment listed as a service, is the right set-up.

Patients search my name and find Practo or the hospital page, not me. How do I fix that?

Give Google something that's clearly yours: your own Google profile, an About the doctor page on a website you own, and matching LinkedIn and Instagram profiles. Over a few months, these start to appear first when patients search your name.

I'm not comfortable on camera. Do I still need videos?

Videos work best, but they don't need to be polished. A two-minute clip on your phone answering a common patient question is enough. We can edit it for you as an add-on at ₹800 per minute. If you'd rather not appear, AI explainer videos and written posts are a start.

How many reels should a solo doctor post?

Three to four a week keeps people engaged. More important than the number: each one should answer something patients genuinely worry about.

What does a personal brand for a doctor cost?

Most individual doctors start with Google Business Profile management at ₹6,999 a month and Instagram management at ₹8,000 a month. A personal website starts at ₹14,999, one-time.
